Originally from Sydney Australia, Emma danced with renowned ballet companies Bejart Ballet Lausanne, The Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet and West Australian Ballet. In 2010 Emma founded Ludwig Dance Company in Perth Australia gaining recognition for her works at international festivals and competitions.
Her choreography received accolades including a medal at the Rome International Choreography Competition which led to an artist residency at Impulstanz Festival and a finalist position at the Stuttgart Solo Dans Theater Festival. Her work Fleck & Flecker combining dance, music, text and animation received the Most Outstanding New Work award at the West Australian Dance Awards in 2013.
Alongside her dance career, Emma pursued writing and contributed to Dance Australia Magazine and Dance Magazine from 2013 to 2022. She created the dance projection with Paul Vasterling and Nashville Ballet to accompany Ben Folds’ Piano Concerto performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra a tthe Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
In 2019, Emma initiated the MOTHERHOOD PROJECT, serving as its creative producer, writer and director, and has led development workshops in Sydney, NYC and Nashville.
